ABOUT
I have happily been in private practice for over
10 years, seeing children, adolescents and
adults.
Prior to starting my practice, I was a school social worker in both public and private schools, working with students to help them develop self-insight, awareness of feelings, social skills and coping skills. I also have experience in adult and adolescent community mental health.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), licensed in the state of Illinois, and received my Masters of Social Work from the Jane Addams School at UIC. I’ve taken extensive post-graduate coursework in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy through the Cleveland Institute for Cognitive Therapy.
I provide training seminars for parent groups, schools and professional organizations on topics including parenting, neurodiverse learners and social communication.
I am trained as a supervisor for MSW’s and LSW’s who require weekly supervision to prepare for LCSW licensure.
One of my passions is coaching young people, and I have served as a mentor for college students through the Braven program. I have also spent several summers as a camp social worker for chapters of Camp Kesem.
I love spending time with my family and friends, playing tennis, being out in nature, long walks and cooking.
